Docklands Firelight Festival Melbourne
EVENT DETAILS:
Docklands Firelight Festival, Friday 30th June, Saturday 1st July and Sunday 2nd July 2017.
The event includes a nightly, fireworks display and the burning of a fire sculpture from
barges in Victoria Harbour (at approximately 8.00pm for a duration of 20 – 30 minutes) in
addition to music, food and entertainment on the NewQuay Promenade.
It is expected approximately 2000 – 3000 people will be at the event at any one time.
An application for an event permit has been submitted with the City of Melbourne and we will
conduct our activities in accordance with the terms and conditions requested by the City of
Melbourne.
We invite the local community to be involved in our Lantern Procession which will occur
each night from 7.30pm. Interested participants should contact events@fruitbowl.com.au for
more information.
We appreciate the support of the public in ensuring that our event is a success. We will
make every effort to minimise impact on your neighborhood. Noise will be kept to a minimum
at all times. Please be mindful of your pets’ welfare during the fireworks. The loud noises
associated with fireworks can be distressing to some animals. To ensure their safety please
ensure any pets are inside and secure during the fireworks display.
